Sean began his career with Sugar Creek
Country Club in 1999, first as an Assistant Professional and Junior Program
Director, and now as the Head Tennis Professional. With over 27 years of
teaching experience at every level of the game, many of Sean's students have
earned college scholarships at Division I and Division II schools. As a
competitive tennis player, Sean held a Top 20 national ranking in singles and a
Top 10 national ranking in doubles while playing for the University of Texas at
Tyler from 1994-1997. He has been ranked #2 in the Texas Men’s Open Division
three times and was in the Top 5 for five years in a row from 2002-2006.
In the Senior division, Sean has been as high as #2 in the Nation in Men’s
45’s singles, and in 2021 was #1 in Men’s 45 Doubles winning the Gold Ball at
the US Clay Courts in 2021. Sean has represented the USA on two
national teams for the ITF World Team Championships 1st in Miami in
2018 and again in Umag, Croatia in 2021.
Charles Nguyen

Charles is a native Houstonian and has played tennis since the age of 10. He was a high school standout at Alief Hastings and then at Rice University. Charles has been teaching tennis for 8 years, while also pursuing his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine.
Mike Maciel

A native Texan, Mike played collegiate tennis at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana in the mid-80’s receiving a degree in Business. At the time, the McNeese men’s tennis program was a top 25 ranked D1 school competing against the likes of Baylor, Texas A&M, Florida State, and LSU to name a few. Mike believes that a tennis teaching professional should never stop improving his craft and spends many hours pursuing continuing education hours in the tennis industry. He is a certified USPTA Elite Pro, was part of the Texas USTA Junior Tennis Council for 4 years, has trained with world renowned tennis fitness guru, Patetcheberry, and has held fitness certifications over the years. Lastly, Mike also taught his daughter and two boys the sport of tennis and is happy to report that all 3 received scholarships to play collegiality.
